The creativity and communication workshop took place in the beautiful city of Miri in Sarawak Malaysia. It was a collaboration between Miri city counsel and Curtin University Malaysia. The 100 teenagers age 15 to 17 years young enjoyed the beautiful Curtin campus.
I was very delighted with their hunger to learn and apply some of the principles in their life. We talked about many important things like DISCOVERING, DEVELOPING AND DISPLAYING their talent. These three stages are crucial to success especially when it comes to creativity. They were also given a major assignment which was related to the topic "Use What is In Your Hands". So we took that literally and got the students to come with a short video about Curtin University and Miri town. For most of them, this was a first time experience and it was even more challenging as they had to produce the video as a team. Most of them did not know each other as they came from different schools. This workshop was conducted more as an open mind process for them to see new possibilities in life and to think outside the box. I am looking for more sessions with youth like these guys, so hungry and passionate about life.
